After graduating from Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth, Texas with a Business Management Degree in 1989, he worked for a full-service architectural, engineering, and construction management firm for 13 years in marketing and management.
From there, he went directly into the construction field building new custom homes in 2003. He started out working for an independent builder before obtaining his own builder’s license in 2005 from the Texas Residential Construction Commission (TRCC) and building custom homes on his own.
As the market and economy took a turn in the mid-2000s, Tod decided to make a change from home building to home inspections. Tod received his Professional Real Estate Inspector license in September 2007 and started Alpine Inspections. He hit the ground running and has been performing home inspections full-time since then. Tod has obtained additional credentials as well. He also has his SPCS Business License with the Texas Department of Agriculture (Structural Pest Control Services) and is a certified applicator. This gives Alpine Inspections the ability to inspect for termites and produce WDI (wood destroying insects) reports. Tod also maintains a national certification with NAWT (National Association of Wastewater Technicians) in order to inspect septic systems. He also inspects private water wells and pools/spas.
